  • I will set the example for good behaviour.
  • I will speak respectfully to players, officials & parents.
  • I will not yell or ridicule my players.
  • I will recognize and reward achievements other than scoring goals.
  • I will inform my players' parents of any injuries their son/daughter might have suffered.
  • I will show up for games & practices on time.
  • I will take coaching clinics to further develop & improve my skills.

  • Players will earn playing time based on effort, put forward at practices and games, at the coaches discretion.

Players

  • I will play by the rules and in the spirit of the game.
  • I will control my temper - fighting and "mouthing off" can spoil the activity for everybody.
  • I will respect my opponents, the game officials and the coaching staff including the opposing team.
  • I will do my best to be a team player.
  • I will remember that winning isn't everything - having fun, improving skills, making friends, and doing my best are also important.
  • I will acknowledge all good plays/performances - those of my team and my opponents.
  • I will remember that coaches and officials are there to help me. I will respect their decisions and show them respect.

Parents

  • I will remember that my child plays soccer for his or her enjoyment, not for mine.
  • I will NOT force my child to participate in sports.
  • I will NOT give instructions to players - that is the coaches responsibility.
  • I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
  • I will teach my child that doing one's best is as important as winning so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of the game or the event.
  • I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard.

  • I will NOT yell at or ridicule any referee.
  • I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from the children's sporting activities.
  • I will respect and show appreciation for the volunteer coaches
  • I will ensure that my child shows up on time for scheduled practices & games at the time designated by the coach.
  • I realize that the team can be penalized for my behaviour and that I must abide by the rules and the officials at the field.
  • I must stand on the opposite side of the field from the players and coaches.
  • I will not step onto the field of play during the game to avoid injury to myself or to players.
  • I will wait 24 hours before contacting any coaching official and talk to them privately to resolve any issues that may have arisen during a game or practice.

Discipline

  • I recognize that the team coach/club will handle infractions that occur at times other than during a game.
  • I recognize that infractions that occur during the game are governed by the Laws of the Game and will be decided by the Referee. The result may be a Caution (yellow card) or Dismissal (red card), in which case there may also be further action, including suspensions or fines, by the league discipline committee.
  • I recognize that certain serious infractions will result in a discipline hearing convened by Ontario Soccer or their delegate, and could lead to a worldwide suspension from soccer, and a fine being levied by the Ontario Soccer. Payment of the fine is my responsibility.
  • I am responsible for reimbursing the Club for any and all fines payable by the Club due to my actions or inaction. Failure to pay any fines will result in my suspension from the Club for an indefinite period of time.
